New President of the Rotary Club of East Kilbride Charles Devennie's first official duty was to introduce a new member to the club at the weekly lunchtime meeting at the Bruce Hotel.  Ron James, a retired electronics engineer, was given a warm welcome by the members present.

Saturday 28th July 2018 Roddy& Kath Shanks held their open Garden day and successflly raised £600 for Charity

East Kilbride Rotarians and friends gave of their time to purchase toys, gloves, hats, jewellery and other gifts for  Christmas 2018 for 260 kids in the East Kilbride area  from Clyde Importers on the 19th of November 2018

A new venue for our meeting has beendecided and it will be "The Lost Lamb" in Auldhouse
Douglas Douglas rejoined the Club after a number of years of non membership

Burns Competition for 2018 -19 held on the 2nd of March 2019 (awaiting report)


Another successful Past Presidents dinner was held at a new venue called The Barocco Steak house with 19  attending on the 25th of March 2019

Led by Past President Roddy Shanks the club were once again to the fore in their tree planting campaign within the community, in total 1918 trees were planted to commemorate the ending of world war one in 1918.

Christmas card excercise brought £410


At our the Quiz night, we managed to raise £1,030 (£837.50 after overheads) for local charities.
